Puente Roto Recreation Area

The Puente Roto or “Broken Bridge” recreation site is found along the recreation segment of the Rio Mameyes, which is designated by Congress as a Wild and Scenic River for its outstanding natural beauty. It is an undeveloped recreation area that has a large area for water play due to the river's width at this point. It is a nice location for swimming, wading and picnicking along the banks of the river.

Special Safety Messages: Be aware of the weather and flash flooding. Pack it in, Pack it Out: please take your trash with you so it doesn’t end up in the river. Also be respectful of others and maintain a lower volume on music to best enjoy the natural setting.
