The Mt. Britton Spur connects Forest Service Road 10 (closed to public vehicle traffic) to El Yunque Trail, which then leads up to El Yunque Peak. This trail features a gradient in vegetation. El Yunque Peak can also be accessed by staying on Forest Service Road 10. The trail leads steeply upward through the Cloud Forest.

Special Safety Messages: Slippery trail surfaces and cool temperatures. Note that a segment of Rd 10 is being repaired and closed to pedestrian access. Please stay on the trail when returning to your vehicle near the trailhead.
For safety reasons, this trail is currently only open to Los Picachos Peak. Access to Pico El Yunque is also available along Rd. 10.
